About this product

Öge Yaz Kırmızısı is a blend created by combining Öküzgözü and Emir, characteristic Anatolian grapes. The inclusion of Emir grapes, typically seen in white wine production, in a red blend gives the wine a lively structure. Öküzgözü, originating from Elazığ, is known for its large berries and offers high acidity despite its low tannin content. The combination of these two grapes results in a lighter, more fruit-focused character, unlike traditional heavy-bodied reds.

Production technique and character

The cold maceration method used in the wine's production aims to preserve aromatic components to the maximum extent by allowing the grape must to remain in contact with the skins at low temperatures. Thanks to this technique, the 2022 vintage product highlights its fruity notes. This beverage, with an alcohol content of 13.2%, is bottled using techniques adapted to seasonal temperatures, found in the wine culture of Şirince and the Aegean region.

Label and serving information

The vintage year indicated on the Öge Yaz Kırmızısı label reflects the impact of that year's climatic conditions on the grapes. Due to its easy-drinking character, it is recommended to store and serve it slightly chilled, a little below the standard red wine serving temperature. Gastronomically, it has a profile suitable for pairing with charcuterie boards, soft cheeses, and light appetizers. Storing it in a dark, dry, and temperature-stable area helps preserve its aromatic balance.
