About this product

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, cultivated in the Selçuk region of İzmir, one of the Aegean's established viticulture centers, form the main component of this beverage. Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape variety of French origin, is known worldwide for its resilience and characteristic body. Şirince Kale Bağları Cabernet Sauvignon is prepared using a partial fermentation method, as opposed to the traditional full fermentation process. This technique allows some of the fermentable sugars to remain in the structure, giving the product a demi-sec identity. This style, containing approximately 10 grams of residual sugar per liter, strikes a balance between dry wines and intensely sweet dessert wines.

Grape Character and Production Style

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes naturally possess a high tannin structure and distinct fruit aromas. When processed with a partial fermentation system, the grape's natural astringency is softened by the sugar content, resulting in a smoother texture. The microclimate and soil structure of the Şirince region help preserve the aromatic components of this grape type. The result is a profile that reflects the standards of the classic demi-sec category, with a balanced alcohol and sugar content.

Serving and Storage Conditions

The term demi-sec on the label indicates that the product contains a small amount of natural sugar. When consuming Şirince Kale Bağları Cabernet Sauvignon, it is recommended not to serve it too cold to avoid suppressing the aromas. Serving it at a slightly cool temperature in large-bowled red wine glasses facilitates the release of the grape's characteristic notes. This red wine, which pairs well with protein-rich dishes or aged hard cheeses, should be stored slightly below room temperature.
