The 'coupage' technique used in rosé wine production combines the characteristic features of different grape varieties into a single body. Küp Beşi Bir Yerde Rose is a blend of Turkey's local varieties, Çalkarası and Kalecik Karası, with internationally recognized Shiraz, Zinfandel, and Pinot Noir grapes. This five-grape composition expands both the structural depth and the aromatic spectrum of the wine. Consistent with the rich winemaking tradition of the Şirince region, this blend is an example of a semi-sweet style, possessing a higher sugar balance compared to dry wines.
Grape Varieties and Regional Character
Çalkarası in the blend provides acidity balance, while varieties like Pinot Noir and Zinfandel contribute body to the wine. The fruit profile brought by Kalecik Karası is supported by the spicy touches of Shiraz. Küp Beşi Bir Yerde Rose, with its 13% alcohol content, acquires its distinctive color depending on the skin contact time of the grapes. Its classification as semi-sweet is related to the preservation of residual sugar during fermentation, which determines its smoothness on the palate.
Label and Serving Information
To preserve its aromatic character, this type of rosé wine is generally recommended for consumption at a young age. The ideal serving temperature is between 8-10 degrees Celsius. Storing the bottle in a cool, dark place is critical for preserving the natural fruit notes from the grapes. Thanks to its high fruitiness, it exhibits a technical compatibility with appetizers, soft cheeses, and seasonal fruits.
